An Overview of CloudCentrix: The easiest way to fully adopt various cloud technologies [Video]

ExitCertified simplifies the uses of various technologies and frameworks and explains its comprehensive training for all cloud-related needs. Here’s a look at its ever-evolving CloudCentrix suite of training to supercharge your cloud transformation.

ExitCertified has been in the training business for over 20 years. Over the last decade we've been doing a lot of cloud training. This started with our partnership with AWS back in 2014 and continued with our delivery of Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud authorized training. ExitCertified has also long been partnered with Oracle, offering authorized training on their OCI platform.

When our customers first started using the cloud, they were content to just take a class from their vendor of choice and do a lift-and-shift of some applications into the cloud. But it didn't take long before customers started to realize that there's a lot more to a real digital transformation than simply moving apps to virtual machines in the cloud. Our customers would tell us that they were often doing three things at once: changing to a cloud platform, adopting a microservices architecture, and further embracing DevOps concepts. The cloud-native approach to developing applications is the key to unlocking many of these advantages of the cloud.

To try and convey the full range of courses that ExitCertified offers to customers on such a journey, we created our CloudCentrix suite of training. In this diagram, we try to show that the heart of the digital transformation learning journey is public cloud training from one of the major cloud providers. ExitCertified is proud to be partnered with the “Big Four” cloud service providers - that's AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

But many of our customers have a significant investment in their own private cloud already. They have their own data centers, and they want to leverage those data center investments as they start to embrace the public cloud. So we have a variety of technologies that help facilitate private, or hybrid, or multi-cloud architectures. Those platforms include VMware and OpenShift.

Returning to this concept of cloud native: As technologies like Docker and Kubernetes began to become more popular, we had customers looking for training in them. Both Docker and Kubernetes are open-source projects that aren't entirely owned by any single vendor. Therefore, ExitCertified had to go out and find the best-of-breed training on these topics. Now, we did partner with Docker, which had some great authorized training. When Mirantis purchased Enterprise Docker and took that training program, we partnered with Mirantis to continue to offer that same excellent Docker and now Kubernetes training. But we had other customers who were more focused on achieving Kubernetes certifications like the ones from the Cloud Native Compute Foundation, or CNCF. We found that it was the Linux Foundation that helped build those certifications and they created some great training to help prepare for them. So we partnered with the Linux Foundation to offer those training classes. We also have some very basic classes in Microservices Architectures, helping students learn more about the theory rather than just the tools.

This concept of seeking out the best partners that offer the most up-to-date training on open-source projects has enabled ExitCertified to fill in the cracks left by the authorized training from the major vendors. ExitCertified has long provided training on all the popular programming languages like Java, C#, and Python. But our customers are also looking for training on newer languages like Go and Rust and have an increased focus on newer front-end languages like Angular and React. So, we have a broad category of “Languages and Developer Tools,” which also includes developer-related topics like Test-driven development (TDD), testing frameworks like Selenium, and messaging platforms like Kafka.

Another big concern of organizations as they move to the cloud is security. Of course, each of the public cloud vendors has specific security training that outlines security controls and concepts like compliance as it relates to their particular platform. But many of our customers are looking for third-party certifications like the CISSP or CCSP, or they're looking for CompTIA training to help prepare for a vendor-neutral certification. ExitCertified has offerings on all your cloud security needs.

We mentioned that cloud adoption often goes hand-in-hand with a further embracing of DevOps concepts. ExitCertified has a wide range of offerings starting with the cultural changes that DevOps brings to the different ways an organization develops and ships software to training on specific tools that your organization chooses. Since many DevOps concepts are built on agile development practices, you can also come to ExitCertified for your agile training needs. This includes techniques like Scrum and Kanban. While each cloud vendor has some DevOps classes that will help you use their specific tool sets for building an automated CI/CD pipeline, you might be looking for training on some of the open-source building blocks like Git, GitHub, and Jenkins. You may also be looking to automate the provisioning of your infrastructure with tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.

These days, everybody wants to make data-driven decisions. A move to the cloud usually means that organizations become keenly aware of all the data they have stored in one place in the cloud. And the cloud vendors have tools to help make use of that data, whether it's building a data warehouse, using business intelligence tools, data science, or machine learning. ExitCertified has long partnered with other vendors of BI tools like IBM Cognos, Microsoft Power BI, and Tableau. Our partnerships with Cloudera and Databricks offer great training alternatives to big data tools like Apache Spark. Whenever newer tools like Splunk and Snowflake become popular, we go out and find great analytics training offerings for them. And we continue to augment our data science and machine learning offerings. These days, there’s nothing hotter than Generative AI topics like ChatGPT, so we have introduced new courses on those.
