Integrated GenAI, Project Management, & Data Analytics Bootcamp for Leading Consulting Firm [Case Study]

Challenge

Our client, a global fortune 500 consulting agency, required a specialized training program to upskill a cohort of professionals in the rapidly evolving intersection of Generative AI and Agile project management.

The organization needed to bridge the gap between theoretical AI concepts and practical application.

Specifically, they sought to empower their team to manage AI development lifecycles using Jira while analyzing and visualizing project data and performance metrics using Microsoft Power BI.

Methodology

To meet these specific requirements, we delivered a two-week intensive program that was structured to layer skills sequentially:

Week 1: Focused on the foundations of Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, and Agile Project Management to establish the workflow and theoretical basis.

Week 2: Shifted focus to data analysis, utilizing the last four days to master Microsoft Power BI. This phase was specifically designed to tie together the concepts learned in the prior days, enabling participants to visualize the data and workflows generated during the AI and Agile modules through a culminating Capstone project.

Solution

We implemented a comprehensive curriculum that combined instructor-led training with a practical Capstone project

The solution ensured that participants did not just learn tools in isolation but understood how to integrate them for end-to-end project execution.

Program Courses and Capstone:

  • Introduction to Generative AI Concepts: Establishing a baseline understanding of GenAI technologies and their business applications.
  • Foundations of Prompt Engineering: Teaching the specific skills required to interact effectively with Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Agile Project Management using JIRA Software: Equipping the team with the skills to structure AI project workflows and link technical requirements to timelines.
  • Managing Generative AI Projects: Specialized instruction on the unique lifecycle and management needs of AI initiatives.
  • Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300T00): A deep dive into data modeling, visualization, and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Power BI Desktop Capstone: A hands-on integration project where students imported tables, established relationship schemas, and created visualizations to report on data models.
