Overview

If you’re interested in becoming a certified VMware professional, this course is the perfect place to start and it meets the VMware requirements needed for the VMware certification process. This course is for the system administrator or system engineer who is relatively new to virtualization or has never played with a virtual machine. You’ll learn how virtual machines interact with the physical hardware that they’re running on and about the VMware ESXi, an enterprise-class, type-1 hypervisor developed by VMware for deploying and serving virtual computers. As a type-1 hypervisor, ESXi is not a software application that is installed on an operating system; instead, it includes and integrates vital OS components.
You’ll be building and playing with virtual machines, so it will be helpful for you to already know how to install and manage Microsoft Windows or Linux Operating Systems. It will also be helpful if you have at least some networking and storage experience.
This five-day course features intensive hands-on training that focuses on installing, configuring, and managing VMware vSphere® 7, which includes VMware ESXi™ 7 and VMware vCenter Server® 7. This course prepares you to administer a vSphere infrastructure for an organization of any size. This course is the foundation for most of the other VMware technologies in the software-defined data center.
