Course Eligible for IBM Digital Badge

Overview

This course is intended for IT professionals tasked with administering an IBM Storage Scale storage cluster in Linux and AIX environments. It includes information on installing, configuring, and monitoring an IBM Storage Scale cluster. Many Storage Scale features are described in lecture materials and then implemented in lab exercises. These features include: Storage management, high availability options, cluster management, and information lifecycle management (ILM) tools. Upon completion of this course, you will earn an IBM badge that recognizes your skills and knowledge in this area. Note: Although the lab environment is running the Linux operating system, the differences in Storage Scale compared with an AIX environment are minor.  Therefore, the skills acquired during the course can be applied in both Linux and AIX environments.

Reviews

We had a great learning experience with the instructor Jabbar. He is very knowledgeable about the material, an a great instructor.

The course materials and information for connecting was all delivered in a timely fashion, and all very easy to use.

The examples were very well documented and provided a nice hands-on experience relevant to the learning material

I both teach and attend classes and it is human nature to be critical of how others do the same job. Edwin is an amazing instructor who kept us engaged, and happily answered all questions that came his way. Went out of his way to clarify concepts that could easily trip up newcomers.

The course material was very informative, and the lab exercises helped retain the knowledge on the material.
