In this Microsoft Fabric course, participants explore the key options available in Fabric for supporting ETL-focused data engineering workflows. The course begins with foundational data and analytics concepts, followed by an introduction to Microsoft Fabric’s architecture, capacities, workspaces, and core experiences.
Participants are introduced to lakehouses, Dataflows Gen2, and Fabric Data Factory pipelines, learning how these services can be used to ingest, transform, store, and orchestrate data movement at a practical level. The course includes hands-on labs that provide experience creating Fabric lakehouses, using Dataflows Gen2, building and monitoring pipelines, and preparing semantic models for analysis with Power BI.
Participants also learn how Power BI connects to Fabric semantic models to support reporting and analytics. An optional 1.5-day version extends the course with an introduction to Fabric Data Agent and a capstone project that allows participants to apply the concepts in a guided workflow scenario.
