Apply AI governance vocabulary, frameworks, and practices that work inside an organization. The NIST AI Risk Management Framework covers the Frame/Assess/Respond/Monitor cycle, the Prepare/Categorize/Select/Implement process, and the legacy of NIST RMF in software risk management. Legal and organizational considerations cover GDPR, CCPA, EU AI Act, liability and accountability, Responsible AI policies, AI ethics boards, and case studies of recent legal challenges. Governing and managing AI risks cover accountability structures, diverse input, contingency plans, AI risk prioritization, the mitigate/transfer/accept/avoid/insure responses, and supply-chain and incident-response considerations specific to AI. Hands-on workshops produce a basic governance policy, a risk-mitigation approach for a realistic scenario, and an organizational case study. The course is designed for managers and executive leaders responsible for strategies, policies, or practices related to AI governance.
