Overview

Enterprise Architecture (EA) frameworks provide a structured approach to designing, analyzing, and evolving complex systems and organizations. As organizations grow and adapt to fast-paced digital and strategic demands, the use of EA frameworks becomes increasingly critical in aligning technology with business objectives. This Enterprise Architecture training introduces learners to a range of established architecture frameworks, including TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF, DODAF, MODAF, TRAK, and the NIST EA Framework. Through guided lessons, comparative analysis, and collaborative case exercises, learners gain a practical understanding of what each framework offers, when and how to use them, and how to tailor or blend frameworks for real-world applications.

Skills Gained

After taking this course, learners will be able to:

  • Define what an architecture framework is and explain its purpose
  • Identify and describe the structure and focus of key frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, FEAF, Zachman, DODAF)
  • Understand the strengths, weaknesses, and appropriate contexts for each framework
  • Compare frameworks based on criteria such as scope, formality, industry usage, and agility
  • Apply architectural frameworks to real-world use cases or select a combination of tools and practices to meet organizational needs.

Who Can Benefit

This course is designed for enterprise architects, solution architects, senior domain architects, and technology strategy professionals who are responsible for planning, designing, or governing enterprise systems.
